About Contempo
Contempo is an ultra sexy private label of lubricated condoms, manufactured especially for South Africa by Ansell, the world’s foremost producer of barrier protection products. Introducing eight seductive variants, Contempo Condoms was officially launched in South Africa in 1988.
This occurred during conservative times when buying condoms was a hush hush matter and were traditionally only sold from under the counter. Liberating these old school ways, Contempo entered the market with bold and vibrant packaging that was for the first time ever, proudly displayed on pharmacy counters. This set the trend for prominent forecourt convenience stores and retailers nationwide to follow. Soon after, other condom suppliers followed suit.
Keeping up with the demands of its consumers, Contempo re-launched the brand in 2006. This time around, the packaging was even sexier, sassier, more sensual and masculine than before! At the same time, the provocative Contempo range was expanded to include three new sensual condom varients: Endurance, Hot and King Size.
Today, Contempo Condoms remains one of the leading condom brands in South Africa, that continues to set the pace in this exciting arena.
